The auction house’s description
Oakridge's special September auction includes a variety of coins, currency, medals, and stamps from China and from other countries. The highlight is a brilliant collection of modern silver panda Chinese coins and a rare and valuable collection of four gold coins from 1979. Currency offerings include numerous examples of old Chinese currency from the Republic of China era and earlier. This auction also includes numerous valuable Chinese stamps, highlighted by the famous 1962 C94 Mei Lanfang Stage Art Souvenir Sheet, one of the most difficult to find Chinese stamps from the 1960s. Most estimates are relatively low and feature no reserve price.
