Escape to the Modernist Garden

Escape to the Modernist Garden September 12 | 9am PST Escape to the Modernist Garden brings together a wide-ranging collection of 20th-century design with a particular emphasis on the outdoors. Garden furniture, sculptural planters, seating, tables, and architectural objects are joined by an eclectic selection of indoor furnishings, lighting, art, and decorative pieces. Many of the works in this sale have spent decades in gardens, terraces, and homes, developing the natural patina, weathering, and signs of use that make each piece entirely unique. Rather than erasing their history, these surfaces tell it. Aged metal, worn finishes, mossy concrete, and sun-faded materials give the collection a character that could only have developed over time. The auction features works by Alvar Aalto, Andr? Bus, Artedi, Audoux Minet, Bernard Buffet, Brown Jordan, Charles Dudouyt, Charles Ramos, Charles and Ray Eames, Charlotte Perriand, Diego Giacometti, EMU, Eero Saarinen, Edition Castellaneta, Edition Lieuvin, Fasem, Gianfranco Gualtierotti, Giancarlo Vegni, Gloster, Grandon Fr?res, Helena Poch, Herman Miller, Heywood-Wakefield, Ilmari Tapiovaara, J.
