The auction house’s description
Rago/Wright is honored to present Pushing Boundaries: The Lowell and Diane Fixler Collection. A deeply personal body of work built over decades, this wide-ranging and distinctive offering illustrates the Fixlers' unique consideration of scale, material, figuration, and abstraction through important works from Olga de Amaral, Marino Marini, Lynda Benglis, Jun Kaneko, Richard Hunt, Isamu Noguchi, Ruth Duckworth, and many more. Reflecting an open spirit and an appetite for the unexpected, the collection traces a dialogue between monumentality and intimacy, representation and abstraction, tradition and experimentation, capturing the singular vision of collectors who embraced art as a lifelong source of discovery.
