Description
The 1936 Walking Liberty Half Dollar features Adolph A. Weinman’s celebrated design of Lady Liberty striding toward the sunrise on the obverse, with an eagle perched on a rocky ledge on the reverse. First introduced in 1916, the Walking Liberty design is widely regarded as one of the most artistic in American coinage. Minted during the Great Depression, this half dollar reflects an important period in U.S. history. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, it contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of silver.
