1971 Eisenhower “Ike” Dollar featuring President Dwight D. Eisenhower on the obverse and an eagle landing on the Moon on the reverse, inspired by the Apollo 11 mission. This large U.S. dollar coin was the first dollar issued for circulation since the Peace Dollar series ended in 1935. A collectible piece of American coinage with ties to the space age.
