Antique Photograph Collection

This collection features a diverse group of late 19th and early 20th-century historical photographs. It highlights classic period techniques, formats, and presentations from early studio photography:
• Cabinet Cards: Large, sturdy portrait photographs mounted on heavy cardstock backings. Many display ornate typography and studio branding on the lower margins.
• Cartes de Visite (CDVs): Smaller, pocket-sized albumen paper prints mounted on cards, highly popular during the late Victorian era for collecting in albums.
• Tintypes or Early Plates: Darker, reflective formats (seen on the bottom left and right) featuring images exposed directly onto thin metal or glass sheets.
• Ornate Framed Prints: Standalone studio portraits, including a prominent piece housed in an intricate, decorative openwork brass metal frame.
