Pre-Prohibition Amber Beer Bottle - Embossed Berghoff Brewery, Fort Wayne, Indiana - Applied Blob Top - Root Glass Company
Embossed "Berghoff / Fort Wayne / Ind." on the front with a "ROOT" maker's mark on the base. This antique amber beer bottle features an applied blob top and was manufactured by Root Glass Company. The combination of the applied finish, Root Glass manufacture, and Berghoff's Fort Wayne brewery places it in the early 1900s, prior to Indiana Prohibition.
