Description
This group of six older flashlights and lanterns shows assorted wear from age, use, and storage, including scratches, finish wear, oxidation, and dirt. None have been tested for operation. The large Duracell battery installed in the modified lantern is dead. No additional batteries are included for any of the flashlights.
The lot includes a Teledyne Big Beam No. 666 Mounty spotlight, a Burgess Radar Lite made in the USA, a Bright Star 2208 safety lantern, an Elite light marked Made in Hong Kong/British Crown Colony with USA design, a red Hilco-style handheld lantern/flashlight with an additional stamped marking that appears to read PIG or PIC, and a larger orange-and-black spotlight-style lantern. The latter appears to have been assembled or modified using a lantern, spotlight, and large battery; its wiring and construction were done by an unknown person and have not been inspected or verified for safety or function.
These lights use older large-format lantern batteries or similar battery types depending on the model. Exact battery requirements and completeness have not been verified, so bidders should rely on the photos for individual construction, markings, condition, and included parts.
A varied group for display, restoration, parts, or anyone who likes old utility lighting; review the photos closely and browse the other unusual finds in the current Treasure State Auctions sale.
