Description
Details: Original egg tempera painting on gesso panel titled "Las Cocinitas" ("The Kitchens" - Historic Buildings) by renowned American Southwest artist Doris Steider Brummell (1924–2010), an Illinois-born artist long based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Known for her "magic realism" mood paintings, adobe architecture, and rural New Mexico scenes this piece depicts historic adobe ruins and rustic wooden fencing against a vibrant blue and cloud-streaked sky. Signed in teal in the lower right "Steider" with a copyright symbol. Includes the original signed Certificate of Authenticity documentation sheet affixed to the reverse, dated June 1, 1982, detailing the title, 14x18 dimensions, egg tempera medium, file number 80-800, and execution date of May 1980. Framed in a rustic distressed wood-grain frame with an inner fabric liner.
Dimensions: 26.5” x 22.5”. Condition: Used. The egg tempera painting on the gesso panel is in very good, well-preserved condition with vibrant colors and stable pigment. The outer decorative wood frame exhibits noticeable scuffs, edge wear, and minor moisture/water staining along the top edge. Please review all photos for the most accurate depiction.
