Description
1941 Walking Liberty Silver Half Dollar
This 1941 Walking Liberty silver half dollar features the iconic Adolph A. Weinman design of Lady Liberty walking toward a rising sun on the obverse and a perched eagle on the reverse. The obverse is inscribed with Liberty, In God We Trust, and the year 1941, while the reverse displays United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and the half dollar face value. This coin shows visible wear consistent with circulation, particularly on the higher points of Liberty's gown and the eagle's breast feathers, and it is housed in a clear protective flip labeled with the number 80. This piece is appealing to collectors as a classic example of a mid-century silver United States circulation coin featuring one of the most celebrated designs in American numismatic history.
Condition: This coin shows significant wear on the high points of the walking figure and the eagle's breast, various small scratches and contact marks, and dark toning around the rims.
