Description
A square double handled bronze or brass vase, the panels having enamel champleve decoration and white stone bead work, in an archaistic style, the loop handles cast in the shapes of mythical creatures, a metal stamp at the bottom translates "Made in the Quianlong Reign", 1735-1794, this is probably a tribute mark rather than an 18th C stamp, indicating the square vessel is probably early 20th C, very good condition, impressive craftsmanship and patination. 10.5"W x 15.5"H x 10.5"D.
