Description
This vintage Seeburg Stereo LP Console, model LPC-1, was produced by The Seeburg Corp. in Chicago, Illinois, circa 1963. Originally designed to play 160 selections of both 45 RPM singles and 33 1/3 RPM LP albums, this unit has been retrofitted to play 45s. The cabinet features a classic wood-grain laminate finish with an angled chrome-trimmed display currently housing record covers for Rick Springfield and Bon Jovi. Internal components include the original blue enamel Tormat control center, transistorized stereo amplifier, and dual 12-inch speakers. The wood-grain laminate shows typical wear and chipping at the base (photo 2). A small puncture is visible in the left speaker grille cloth (photo 6). While the carriage motor functions, the unit does not currently play records.
