Description
This lot features a 1964-P Silver Kennedy Half Dollar from the Philadelphia Mint. As the inaugural year of the Kennedy Half Dollar series, this coin represents an important moment in U.S. numismatic history and is a popular choice among collectors.
Introduced in 1964 as a tribute to President John F. Kennedy, the Kennedy Half Dollar was designed by Gilroy Roberts and Frank Gasparro. The 1964 issue is composed of 90% silver and remains highly collected for its historical significance, recognizable design, and precious metal content.
