Description

Korth .357 Magnum Revolver — West German Target Revolver, Waffenfabrik W. Korth, Ratzeburg, 1st Generation of the Sport Series

Offered here is a high-quality Korth double-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, manufactured by Waffenfabrik W. Korth in Ratzeburg, West Germany — the frame is clearly roll-marked "MADE IN W. GERMANY / WAFFENFABR. W. KORTH / RATZEBURG/LBG," and the barrel is stamped ".357 MAGNUM." A secondary marking on the cylinder reads "FEA LAS VEGAS NV," indicating US import through Korth USA/Beeman-era or FEA distribution.

Features:
6-shot fluted cylinder, chambered in .357 Magnum
Vented, ribbed barrel (approximately 6") with an adjustable, fully click-adjustable rear sight and interchangeable front sight blade
High-polish blued/black finish on the barrel and cylinder, with a distinctive fire-blued (heat-blued) frame section showing the characteristic Korth iridescent blue-to-gold coloring
Bright polished stainless/nickel frame sides and topstrap contrasting with the deep blue finish
Checkered walnut target grips with a relief-carved panel and thumb rest, secured by a single screw
Hammer with wide, deeply checkered/serrated spur for target-style thumb cocking
Ejector rod housed under the barrel with a knurled, two-piece shroud
Cylinder release/thumb latch positioned ahead of the hammer, typical of the Korth's unique lockwork
Superb bore condition, with sharp rifling visible at the muzzle
Consistent original screws, pins, and matching numbered components visible throughout

Condition: The pistol displays a well-preserved high polish finish with strong contrast between the blued/black cylinder and barrel and the bright frame. Grips show almost no handling wear. Mechanically, the action, is butter smooth and is second to none!

Korth revolvers are renowned as some of the finest, most precisely hand-fitted production revolvers ever made, produced in very limited numbers in Germany. This example represents a highly desirable collector and shooter-grade piece for enthusiasts of premium European revolvers.
