Description
This 1941 Walking Liberty Half Dollar features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic design of Liberty walking toward the rising sun, carrying branches of laurel and oak. The reverse depicts a majestic bald eagle perched on a mountain outcrop.
The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was introduced in 1916 and remained in production through 1947. Considered one of the most beautiful designs in American coinage, its Liberty image was later adapted for the American Silver Eagle.
