Description
This expressive oil on canvas features a vibrant floral arrangement in a patterned vase alongside a folding screen. The composition is rendered with significant impasto and gestural brushwork. A yellow adhesive label on the backing identifies Marquis Art and Frame of Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, Pennsylvania. Illegible gestural marks appear in the lower right, and the work is housed in an off-white wooden frame. 18 x 21 1/2 inches. The painting is in good overall condition with a stable paint surface and no visible loss. Minor surface scuffs are present on the wooden frame (Photo 1), and the paper backing shows light toning (Photo 6).
