William (Bill) Martell (1927-1997) was a Canadian artist based in New Brunswick, associated with the Saint John art community. His work encompasses both abstract and representational styles, characterized by confident use of colour, form, and composition. Martell's paintings often reflect the regional landscape and artistic spirit of mid-20th-century Atlantic Canada. His works continue to appear at auction and remain of interest to collectors of Canadian and regional art.
