Description
Early Deichmann Pottery Lamp, featuring a rounded hand-thrown form with short neck and applied loop handle, finished in a distinctive variegated green glaze. The subtle throwing marks and variations in the glaze contribute to its handcrafted character. Signed on the base. Created by Kjeld and Erica Deichmann, pioneers of Canadian studio pottery who established their pottery studio in New Brunswick in 1935. Their work is highly regarded by collectors for its distinctive forms, rich glazes, and importance in the development of Canadian studio pottery.
