Description
SERIAL NUMBER: 9665 BARREL: 6 1/2" CALIBER: 44 SPL.
Built in 1912 this tremendously fine Triple Lock Target was upgraded by the King Gun Sight Company in the period into a full ‘Super King Target’. The gun is gorgeous from end to end and is equipped with a 6 1/2” barrel, factory high polished blue finish and checkered Circassian walnut diamond magna grips. Knowledgeable collectors are aware of the rarity of high condition 1st Model 44 Hand Ejectors as well as Super King Target examples. The gun was returned to the factory in October of 1948 to be refinished, likely also when the unnumbered Magna grips were fitted. The factory blue finish is exceptional with no underlying issues, all of the pins are perfectly domed and the third lock is case colored. Without looking at the grip frame this presents as totally original in hand. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. A unique and sought after Triple Lock Target configuration that has supreme eye appeal and cool factor; bottom line a must own example. Operates normally C&R 26-22
