Description
This is one of the most iconic symbols in Mexican folk art and religious jewelry, representing love, devotion and healing. The small circular stone at the very top represents the flame or cross that traditionally sits atop the Sacred Heart. Mexican silversmiths are world-famous for their precise stone-on-stone inlay work particularly form historic silver city of Taxco. The orange-red would be spiney oyster shell, green and blue would be malachite and turquoise. The metal is "Alpaca Silver" also known as" German silver" that is a traditional Mexican copper silver but polishes to a beautiful, bright silver shine and is incredibly durable. Measures approximately 3" x 2 1/8".
