Description
Elegant German porcelain footed centrepiece or serving bowl by Reichenbach, featuring an ornate scalloped and pierced rim with rich cobalt blue panels, extensive gilt decoration and delicate multicoloured floral reserves. The centre is decorated with a colourful bouquet of roses and assorted flowers.
The underside bears the blue Reichenbach crowned “R” wreath mark, together with “Fine China / Echt Kobalt / Made in Germany / Democratic Republic”, indicating manufacture in the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany). The Echt Kobalt designation refers to the genuine cobalt decoration.
