A vintage utilitarian equipment transit case constructed from riveted sheet metal with a silver-gray painted finish. The case features reinforced steel corner protectors and a heavy-duty leather-wrapped carry handle secured by metal D-rings. The front is equipped with two spring-loaded draw-bolt latches and a central locking hasp for a padlock. The interior consists of a single open compartment with a metal lid stay chain and contains a cast-metal multi-socket wrench. The design is characteristic of mid-century military or industrial field equipment. Height approx. 39 cm (measured against a ruler; only inches shown). Condition: The case is in well-used vintage condition. The exterior shows extensive scuffing, scratches, and paint loss. Steel hardware exhibits surface oxidation and pitting. The leather handle is heavily worn and frayed at the attachment points. The interior displays staining and areas of surface oxidation.
