Cotton Hammock

A large, hand-woven cotton hammock featuring a central bed with broad horizontal stripes in navy blue, off-white, and forest green. The main body is constructed in a dense mesh weave from twisted cord. The sides are decorated with deep, intricate macramé lace-work fringe in an off-white colour. The hanging terminals consist of gathered rope strands forming loops reinforced with silver-toned metal thimbles. These connection points are finished with decorative off-white crocheted covers, accented with spherical wooden beads and multi-coloured tassels. The style is consistent with traditional South American hand-crafted textiles. Condition: The hammock is in good functional condition. There is minor fraying and some loose threads visible on the decorative tassels and macramé fringe. The metal thimbles show no significant signs of corrosion or wear.
