Description
This collection features 11 World War II silver war nickels minted between 1942 and 1945. Produced in response to wartime metal shortages, these coins contain 35% silver, making them unique within American numismatics. The reverse side of each features a large mintmark above Monticello's dome, distinguishing them from standard Jefferson nickels. These coins represent a tangible connection to a critical period in history.
