Description

Large assortment of vintage amber and golden honey pressed glass tableware and decorative glass, primarily displaying the warm amber tones, bold molded patterns, and floral/geometric motifs strongly associated with American glassware of the 1960s–1970s. Research shows several comparable forms and patterns were produced by companies including Indiana Glass/Tiara and Anchor Hocking, although this is a mixed collection and individual makers have not been confirmed for every piece. Tiara, for example, marketed extensive Golden Amber pressed-glass collections beginning in the 1970s, much of it manufactured by Indiana Glass. Glass Museum
Collection includes a striking group of large sunflower/floral-form pressed glass plates, featuring deeply molded overlapping petals and radiating starburst centers; multiple plates appear to be included. Also included are two tall amber glass taper candlestick holders with broad circular bases; a pair of molded amber glass salt and pepper shakers with metal tops; a small heavily molded glass toothpick or votive holder; and several decorative serving pieces.
The assortment also includes two distinctive handled amber glass baskets. One features a highly detailed pressed pattern with two molded birds meeting at the center of the handle, starburst decoration, scalloped rim, and ornate footed base. The second has a tall double-arched handle with large circular and fan/sunburst motifs around the bowl. A double-handled shallow serving dish features a scalloped, petal-like bowl and floral styling. These ornate pressed-glass forms make especially attractive display pieces for a vintage kitchen, china cabinet, or retro tablescape.
The salt and pepper shakers appear particularly consistent with Anchor Hocking Fairfield/Honey Gold-era glassware, a pattern documented in amber during the 1970s, though attribution should be considered probable rather than definitive without maker's marks. Etsy
A substantial mixed lot with excellent Mid-Century Modern, retro, boho, and 1970s kitchen décor appeal, offering a variety of amber pressed glass servingware, tableware, baskets, candleholders, floral plates, and accessories. Pieces show varying degrees of age-related wear consistent with vintage use. See photos closely for the exact contents, patterns, condition, and details of each piece.
