British-Canadian, 1930 - 2025
An original acrylic on canvas. Atkinson studied at the prestigious Camberwell School of Fine Arts in England before immigrating to Canada near Ottawa..He was a highly accomplished animator who founded Atkinson Film-Arts.. His Studio famously produced “The Care Bears: television specials and The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin”, etc. This painting showcases his hallmark style of expressive mid-century realism.
