Antique Ash Twin-Pedestal Leather-Top Desk

Amazing, one of a kind, antique ash twin-pedestal desk featuring three inset dark leather writing surfaces, including an elevated central section with a hinged slanted lid that lifts to reveal storage compartment and tray. Left pedestal includes four long drawers with carved detailing and ornate metal handles, while the right pedestal offers a top drawer and a lower cabinet with vertical wooden dividers and a side storage with key. Finished with decorative scrolled kneehole brackets. Appears clean and in amazing condition for age.
It belonged to Carl Atkinson, a prominent family from Shediac. He was an engineer, working on building bridges for the government. Desk was probably built in the late 1880's. Must be seen to fully appreciate!
