Description
The 1946 Walking Liberty Half Dollar features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic design of Lady Liberty walking toward the sunrise on the obverse and a majestic eagle perched on a rocky ledge on the reverse. First introduced in 1916, the Walking Liberty design remained in production through 1947 and is widely regarded as one of the most artistic designs in American coinage. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, this half dollar contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of silver.
