Description
VF-1954 Silver Franklin Half Dollar - Very Fine. 90% silver, .3617 oz ASW. Philadelphia, Denver, or San Francisco issue, 3rd generation Franklin half.
Obverse: Benjamin Franklin. Reverse: Liberty Bell and small eagle, designed by John R. Sinnock. VF-20 to VF-35 shows moderate wear on Franklin's hair and cheek, Liberty Bell's lines partially worn but lettering sharp, about 25% luster remaining.
1954 is an early Franklin with lower mintages than later years, especially 1954-S key of the series. 90% silver type coin, 7 years before Kennedy half era, solid collector grade example of classic post-war half dollar.
