Description
The 1963 Franklin Half Dollar features Benjamin Franklin’s portrait on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse, accompanied by a small eagle. Designed by John R. Sinnock, the Franklin half dollar was minted from 1948 through 1963, making this the final year of the series before the introduction of the Kennedy half dollar in 1964. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, the coin contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of silver.
