Description
The 1954 Franklin Half Dollar features Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse, accompanied by a small eagle to meet the legal requirement for an eagle on the coin. Designed by John R. Sinnock, the Franklin Half Dollar series was minted from 1948 through 1963. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, each coin contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of silver. The 1954 issue represents a classic piece of mid-20th-century American coinage.
