Description

1944-D Washington Quarter in Uncirculated (UNC) condition, struck at the Denver Mint. This classic World War II-era quarter is a 90% silver issue and a popular addition for collectors of Washington Quarters and U.S. silver coinage. Please review the photos for the exact luster, surfaces, strike, and overall condition.

The Washington Quarter was designed by John Flanagan and was first introduced in 1932. The obverse features George Washington, while the reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings.

The 1944-D had a mintage of 9,769,000 coins. The “D” mint mark appears on the reverse below the wreath.

The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 6.25 grams, measures 24.3 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge. The UNC designation indicates the coin shows no significant evidence of circulation, though exact grade and eye appeal should be determined from the photos.
