Description
A Proster model PST033 multifunction sighting compass and clinometer. The instrument is constructed with a black composite housing and features a liquid-damped dial with 360-degree markings in one-degree increments. It includes a rotating silver-toned bezel and a fluorescent green luminous outer degree ring. A fold-out side panel provides an inclinometer for measuring vertical angles and gradients, featuring scales for degrees from 0 to 90 and a percentage scale. The unit is equipped with a fold-down sighting lens incorporating internal crosshairs and a horizontal millimetre scale for distance estimation. A circular spirit level is integrated into the base for accurate horizontal positioning. The side of the base includes a 1:25,000 map scale ruler, and the reverse features a moulded conversion table for angles and slopes titled Tabella 2. The compass is accompanied by its original printed user manual and a black nylon carrying case with a press-stud closure. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Length approx. 9 cm (excluding loop) x Width approx. 6.5 cm. Condition: The instrument appears to be in good functional condition. The optics are clear and the liquid-damped needle moves freely. All mechanical folding components operate smoothly. The housing shows minimal signs of wear consistent with handling. The carrying case and manual are well-preserved.
