Description
Image Comics’ Spawn #1 (May 1992) is the first appearance of Al Simmons and the book that announced Todd McFarlane’s creator-owned line, here in a CGC Universal 9.8 with white pages. The cover is McFarlane’s own: the caped antihero lunges through red-and-purple energy, chains flying, a necroplasm skull bursting green-yellow at lower right, the neon Spawn logo arched above. The label notes McFarlane story, cover, and art, plus pin-ups by Dale Keown and a George Pérez pull-out poster. Slab hologram and cert 3984221001 keep the near-mint debut sealed and display-ready as a cornerstone Image key.
