Description

Aribalo Pendant with Labradorite & Amethyst. This exceptional Aribalo-inspired pendant necklace is a unique, original handcrafted work of Peruvian jewelry, created entirely by hand in 950 silver filigree and set with natural labradorite and amethyst.

The design is inspired by the Aribalo, one of the most recognizable ceramic forms of the Inca tradition. Characterized by its distinctive elongated neck, broad body, lateral handles, and conical base, the historic vessel was used in the Andes for the storage, transport, and serving of liquids. Here, its iconic silhouette has been reinterpreted as an elaborate work of contemporary Peruvian wearable art.

At the center of the composition is a remarkable rectangular labradorite, displaying intense flashes of electric blue as the stone interacts with light. Above it rests a pear-shaped amethyst, introducing a rich violet accent and creating an elegant contrast with the cool brilliance of the silver and labradorite.

The stones are surrounded by intricate hand-worked silver filigree, with delicate spirals, scrolls, braided borders, and ornamental elements forming the stylized contours of the Aribalo. The substantial handcrafted silver chain complements the pendant and completes the composition as a unified jewelry work.

Every element of the pendant and chain has been individually formed, assembled, and finished by hand in 950 silver. The complexity of the filigree, natural character of the gemstones, and individually executed construction make this an original and unique artisan piece rather than a mass-produced jewelry design.

Combining Inca artistic heritage, traditional Peruvian silversmithing, natural gemstones, and contemporary jewelry design, this striking necklace can be appreciated both as a sophisticated statement jewel and as a collectible work of Peruvian wearable art.
