Oil on canvas depicting a dreamlike architectural setting inhabited by ethereal figures, spectral animals, and symbolic forms rendered in warm ochre, crimson, and earth-toned hues. The composition evokes a mysterious narrative atmosphere characteristic of surrealist imagery, with elongated beings and fantastical creatures interacting within an otherworldly environment. Signed lower left.
Leonora Carrington was one of the most important figures of twentieth-century Surrealism. Renowned for her imaginative visual language, her works often blend mythology, transformation, occult symbolism, and fantastical narratives.
