Description
The 1962 Franklin Half Dollar features Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse, accompanied by a small eagle. Designed by John R. Sinnock, the Franklin Half Dollar series was minted from 1948 through 1963, before being replaced by the Kennedy Half Dollar. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, this coin contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of silver. The 1962 issue represents a classic example of mid-century American coinage.
