Description
– The War of the Worlds, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Wild Bill Hickok & More – 25¢ Painted Cover Editions
From Martian invaders to Shakespearean tragedy! This group of Gilberton's Classics Illustrated runs from No. 121 through 145, all 25¢ painted-cover editions, and includes one of the most popular titles in the entire series: H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds, with its iconic cover of Martian tripods towering over a burning landscape. Add in Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Wild Bill Hickok, and Kipling's Kim, and you've got a well-rounded group from the same Centennial Elementary school library collection.
