Description
A pair of Canadian Forces MK III lightweight combat trousers, manufactured by Federal Pants Inc. in March 1987. The garment has been modified from its original full length by shortening and hemming the legs to form combat shorts. Constructed from olive green fabric, the design includes a six-pocket layout featuring two front slash pockets, two rear flapped pockets with button closures, and two large bellows cargo pockets on the thighs with slanted flaps. The waistband incorporates wide belt loops, side adjustment straps with button fastenings, and internal buttons for the attachment of braces. The closure consists of a button fly and a large slotted Canadian-style button at the waist. A large reinforced patch is situated on the seat for increased durability. An original white fabric label is sewn into the interior waistband, providing the manufacturer name, nomenclature, NATO stock numbers, sizing, and the date of March 1987. Condition: The item is in good vintage condition showing signs of service wear. The conversion to shorts has been completed with a clean, straight hem. The fabric maintains consistent colour density. All buttons appear to be present and original.
