An Indo-Scythian silver drachm attributed to the reign of King Azes II (circa 35 BC – 5 AD), struck in billon silver. The obverse features the king on horseback facing right, holding a whip, with remains of a Greek legend. The reverse depicts Pallas (Athena) standing right with her right hand raised, holding a spear and shield, surrounded by a Kharoshthi legend. The coin is housed in a clear plastic-encased display card titled Ancient Coin of the Magi, issued by The American Historic Society. The lot includes the original printed Certificate of Authenticity and the branded paper envelope. Diameter approx. 0.6 inches (approx. 15 mm); Display card approx. 5.5 inches x 2.9 inches (measured against ruler). Condition: Worn and circulated. The coin shows significant loss of detail to the central motifs and legends. The metal exhibits a dark grey-brown patina with some surface encrustation.
